 Rizzoli and Isles Fanfic.

 

 

~~~ Chapter 1~~~~~

"I shouldn't have complied to your persistency of coming along" Jane mused. 

"Oh well Jane, besides I wasn't going to let you come here alone in the middle of nowhere,trying to look for someone who may not even be here." Maura argued.

As they both roamed the mysterious woods, not wanting to awake any living creatures that could have the desire to devour both women, they began to hear another pair of feet that weren't theirs.

Jane held out her left arm to stop Dr.Maura Isles dead in her tracks.

"Listen." She mouthed.

After a while another pair of feet were set in the equation Jane pushed Maura behind a tree. Now Maura was pinned to the oak tree by Janes' firm body.

Even though this wasn't the best moment to reflect, I mean how could she not.

The way she would be so protective, not letting harm and fear get anywhere near Maura was mesmerizing to her mind and sight. No partner of hers has cared for her like Jane does. What was even more beautiful was how Detective Rizzoli offered her time to Maura.

Time had always been an issue with lovers and family. The doctors' parents hardly had time for their child which always made her feel like a burden. 

With her ex-lovers it felt as if she should be honored for the little attentiveness they offer, but Jane, Jane wanted to be with her. 

Any day at anytime was how it occurred with Rizzoli, she was always open even if it was 3 am and Maura needed comfort, if a simple call would not satisfy she would drive to her house and personally do the deed with no complaining. Just love.

"You okay?" Jane husked in her ear pressing her thigh in the middle of hers creating a division in space. Her favorite voice only adding fuel to the kindling fire growing with in.

"Mmhmm" the Doctor groaned.

Jane chuckled and added, " I'm sorry to interrupt your day-dream but we need to move on?" In the end it sound more like a question but Maura wasn't apprehended  by the sudden order.

"Sure" she stated. 

After parting and standing properly Jane took a hold of her hand and safely put the gun away as the noises had disappeared. 

"Walk by my side, I don't want you out of my sight." Jane and the detective that was now fully functioning would never forgive herself if anything were to happen to Maura, the thought made her shutter.

As they continued to walk in the underestimated woods, Jane intensified her grip on Maura along with keeping her eyes wide for anything at sight and her hearing sharp for any sound. Detective Rizzoli kept her free hand mere inches from her fire arm in case it was necessary. No mistakes were aloud in such circumstances especially if the the prestigious doctor was around. She could not lose her. Not her. Not her best friend, her everything.

As they progressed Rizzoli got a call. "Fuck I need to silence the phone." They stopped and once again took guard behind a tree, just in case.

"Rizzoli." She whispered.

"How are you Janie?" The sound of that voice made her gag. 

"Great. You?" She asked with sarcasm and anger dripping from her voice.

"Isn't your Doctor hot beyond the description, I would love to-"

"Look you fuck bag. Touch her and I will rip your heart out your chest you fucktard."

"Oh no Jane I'm so scared!" He squealed then added," now, now don't get to worked up detective. You now I'm only interested in you don't you?"

"Right." I agreed.

"Though Doctor Isles would serve as a great trophy to my already existing collection."

I laughed. Yes, indeed I was laughing at this idiot on the other side of the phone. Clearly he had no fucking clue as to who he was conversing with. Jane only thought, "you have fucked up."

"Huh Detective? How does that sound?"

"It'd be the biggest mistake of your life."

"Really? How so?" He asked in mockery.

"Don't be so impatient. You'll find out if you make that error."

"I feel tempted." He smirked through his words. 

Than the line went dead. 

"You done fucked up buddy."  The detective murmured. Forgetting her beloved doctor was directly facing her with only centimeters away from

any physical altercation beyond the bound of best friends, Maura worryingly asked, "Is everything alright Jane?" 

With that soft comforting voice Jane relaxed, but couldn't bring it to herself to disclose that conversation in a moment as such.

"No." Silence. 

"Well, no... It's just. I- uh.. Umm. Things are getting complicated with this case."

"I can take it. What is it?"

Jane didn't answer.

"By the way you were speaking, it seemed like someone must have caused you to release an alarming amount of epinephrine and norepinephrine."

"Wait.. What?"

"Adrenaline, Jane."

"Oh. Well yes. It's just this case is grinding my gears. I mean like we are out here waiting for anymore sounds that could lead us to the place where she is."

"I understand. But I believe this is more than about a case 'grinding your gears.' Jane. If this in some way is about me, I should be made aware of. Don't you think?"

"Yes. You are right. Google mouth." Jane mentioned with a smile tugging at her lips.

"So?"

"I don't know. I don't want to worry you."

"I won't be worried. You'll protect me, right?"

Janes' eyes widen along with the straightening of her back. She instinctively looked from left to right. 

Maura held her face caressing her cheek.

"Hey, it's okay. I know you will." Maura whispered lovingly looking into those brown orbs.

"I will. I promise." Jane leaned in the touch closing her eyes listening to the steady breathing of the medical examiner.

"Even if it's the last thing I do. I vow to take care of you Maura Isles." Jane added.

Maura's immediate response would've been an 'I love you' but she was scared- no not scared. Terrified, of the outcome those words could cause, so instead she went in for a hug.

Jane on the other hand. Wanted more perhaps, but either way she gripped her best friend as if it was the last time she would see her, inclusively even touch her. Jane couldn't stand the thought which made her squeeze her beyond no point. Pressing their bodies awfully close. 

Until the crunching of leaves and a voice she detested spoke, making both women part and Jane turn around putting her body infront of Maura's as a shield.
